On 2nd May 2009, the MADC supplied a team of 6 couples to undertake a demonstration at the Royal British Legion, Northfield, Birmingham.

The night started at 9pm with each couple taking a turn in leading off one of the dances which meant that everyone had an opportunity to display their superb dancing skills to an appreciative and supportive audience.

The organiser of the night, Barbara Boscott, commented on the fact that the MADC were able to supply dancers across such on a wide age range. This shows one of the strengths of the MADC, its diversity of membership.

The MADC also received a superb donation of £500 from the organisers.

The couples were; Megan Alebon & Alex Lougheed, Hannah Pirt & Sam Lougheed, Sammy Pardoe & Jack Smith, who performed the Latin dances, with Corrine & Colin Hanson-New, Joanne Redfern & Bradley Evans and Gabby Fletcher & Sam Redfern performing the Modern dances

This is the third time that Corrine and I have performed a demonstration at this venue and I can say that an appreciative and supportive audience always makes us extremely welcome.
